MooseChat is a messaging service for real-time chats, shared media, voice memos, and voice calls. This policy explains what information MooseChat collects, why it is used, and the choices available to you.

Information We Collect

How We Use Information

SMS, Email, and Communications

MooseChat may send verification codes and important service messages to the phone number connected to your account. Marketing messages, product updates, offers, and promotions are optional and require separate consent. If an email feature is added and you provide an email address, the same choice will apply to promotional email. You can withdraw optional marketing consent by contacting support. Carrier messaging and data rates may apply.

Sharing

MooseChat does not sell personal information. Chat content is shared only with the people and rooms you send it to, or when required for security, legal compliance, or service operation.

Storage and Security

MooseChat uses HTTPS for the public service and stores account/session data on the MooseChat server. Phone numbers are stored as hashed values where possible. No system can be perfectly secure, but MooseChat is designed to limit unnecessary exposure of user data.

Your Choices

You can update your display name, status, and profile picture in the app. You can also use the backup option to export your MooseChat data. To request help with account deletion or privacy questions, contact support. For account stability and impersonation protection, usernames can be changed once every 14 days.

Children

MooseChat is not available to children under 13. Account creation requires users to confirm that they are at least 13 years old. Users must also follow any higher minimum age required by local law or an app marketplace.
